The Story of ThreeA Toys

ThreeA Toys was born from the creative mind of renowned artist Ashley Wood and the expertise of Kim Fung Wong, founder of Threezero. Established in 2008, the brand quickly gained a cult following for its uniquely stylized, hyper-detailed figures that blurred the line between art and collectibles.

Ashley Wood’s distinct aesthetic—weathered, battle-worn, and deeply narrative-driven—became the foundation of ThreeA’s success. Drawing inspiration from his comics, such as World War Robot, Popbot, and Adventure Kartel, ThreeA figures carried a sense of history, mystery, and character rarely seen in the toy industry. These weren’t just action figures; they were pieces of a larger world, each telling a story through design, accessories, and stunning articulation.

ThreeA collaborated with major franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Transformers, and Destiny, reinterpreting iconic characters with Wood’s signature gritty touch. But at its core, ThreeA thrived on its original creations—robots, soldiers, and surreal figures that felt like artifacts from a forgotten future.

Despite its immense popularity, ThreeA’s journey came to an end in 2019, when the partnership between Ashley Wood and Kim Fung Wong dissolved. However, Wood continues his creative legacy through his new brand, Underverse, keeping the spirit of ThreeA alive with fresh designs and storytelling-driven collectibles.

Though ThreeA is no more, its impact on the world of designer toys and collectible figures remains undeniable, with its pieces still highly sought after by collectors around the world.
